Accounting Manager Greenwood Village CO

The Lincoln Group has partnered with a client in the Automotive Industry with a fast-growing, private equity-owned organization in search of an Accounting Manager on a direct-hire basis to join their dynamic and fun team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for all general accounting functions. They will also work closely with the Operations team to handle process and system developments as well as policies and procedures. They will report directly to the Assistant Controller. The ideal candidate is self-driven, entrepreneurial, patient, enjoys change, is process-oriented, works with a sense of urgency, and enjoys working in high-growth organizations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in month-end close process and preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and other requirements.
  • Post month-end journal entries and reconcile accounts for the monthly and annual closing.
  • Support the formulation and implementation of internal control systems within the organization.
  • Oversee and support accounts payable, and payroll, identify discrepancies and reconcile accounts.
  • Implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective internal controls.
  • Implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Help implement new accounting software, identify areas for improvements, document current processes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Integrate acquired stores accounting, fixed asset, and treasury functions.
  • Emphasis on Inventory and Operational Expense focus.
  • ASC 842 compliance. Stay up to date with any changes to accounting standards and ensure compliance.
  • Support the timely completion of year-end audit.
  • Supervise a team of 2-5 professionals.
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.


  • CPA/CMA preferred
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years Accounting Experience
  • 1+ years in a position equivalent to a manager or higher responsibilities:
    • 3+ years of experience for a multi-unit service provider preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience working for a private equity-owned company preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with implementing a large ERP system, preferred.
  • Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Skill
  • Credible, ethical, understands the ethical standards of a CPA.
  • Proven track record/experience with project-oriented initiatives in order to improve existing business processes.
  • Strong GAAP and financial reporting technical skills
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner.
  • Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product
  • Exceptional work ethic
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over same

  • Accountable for specific performance

Direct-Hire Salary: $90,000-95,000, plus bonus potential

Work Location: Their office is in South Denver, and this is a hybrid role working on-site and remotely.
