The Lincoln Group has partnered with a leader in the food manufacturing & production industry in search of an Accounts Payable Manager, on a direct-hire basis, to join their exceptional team! The AP Manager role will work under the supervision of the Assistant Controller. They will be responsible for guiding the AP Specialists to ensure the timely, accurate, and consistent processing of vendor invoices. The AP Manager will be managing the responses to vendor inquiries, providing aging updates, and processing 1099s at year-end. They will also be responsible for supporting the AP team, identifying and investigating discrepancies with internal and external customers, and reconciling high-volume accounts.

Compensation: Salary $70K-$80K DOE

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

·Provides guidance and instruction to A/P Specialists on processing functions including, but not limited to, entering invoices, invoice workflows, approving and posting invoices, check runs, and voiding checks/payables.

·Assists in the development of strategic planning initiatives to improve the operational excellence of accounts payable in the corporate office.

·Oversees the maintenance of the Accounts Payable inboxes ensuring all invoices are entered timely.

·Assist in a customer service capacity and respond to Accounts Payable inquiries in a timely fashion.

·Assists with quarter-end tasks such as gathering support documentation for accruals and reclassing entries.

·Review Accounts Payable invoices and checks requests for appropriate approval.

·Understands the interface of the A/P system with the general ledger to provide problem-solving for reconciling issues.

·Maintains vendor files and communicates the status of payments as required.

·Reconcile Accounts Payable accounts on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.

·Process 1099s at year-end, completing audits of vendor data throughout the year to ensure timely processing of the 1099s.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

·Five to ten years of experience in Accounts Payable/Accounting required.

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required.

·Proven track record of forming strong internal relationships.

·Proficient in computer programs, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to perform advanced functions in Excel critical.

·Good at following instructions and working independently.

·Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.

·Drive to succeed in a team environment.

·Positive attitude.

·Three to five years of team leadership experience preferred.

·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·Detail oriented and highly organized.

·Working knowledge of Great Plains preferred.

·Good organizational skills and time management skills are necessary.

·Strong sense of urgency.

·Preference toward a repetitive work environment.
