Hardware Engineer Manager Las Vegas Nevada

The Lincoln Group has partnered with an exceptional Engineering Firm, in the embedded software solutions manufacturing industry, that is looking for a Hardware Engineering Manager. This company provides leading-edge technology in a wide diversity of industries to include, including advanced medical diagnostic equipment, high-energy physics experiments, industrial Internet of things (IoT) automation systems, airborne reconnaissance, and other defense and aerospace systems. 

Type of Hire: Direct Hire

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Work Schedule: In-office M-F

Compensation: $150,000 per year, plus benefits. (Relocation assistance provided for out-of-state candidates).

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

 

The Engineer manager will lead the DVT / Debug Engineering and Production support Teams and will coordinate and assign priorities for their tasks based on Manufacturing and customer support activities.

Will maintain daily updates on team progress and change activities and priorities as needed to achieve target goals.

Will act as a technical contact as needed, for any ongoing engineering support tasks.

Will participate in recurring cross-departmental meetings to update other teams on the status, as well as re-organize priorities based on Manufacturing and Sales commitments.

Will be responsible for maintaining team task assignments, as well as making sure all activities are properly recorded and closed.

Will work with Quality and Production floor leads and Managers to review ongoing failure root causes and help evaluate possible trends in failure modes.

Will be the main liaison between Manufacturing and Engineering teams when it comes to manufacturing support, DVT, debugging, and board bring-up activities.

Management duties include but are not limited to recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees while accomplishing department objectives. Responsible for corrective action as needed.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

B.S.E.E or equivalent experience required.

5+ years of experience leading engineering teams.

Experience in a quick-turn project environment.

Must be familiar with electronics and software release life cycles.

Must have knowledge of working with embedded electronics and software.

Experience with prototyping solutions and bench testing methodology.
