Filament Winding Technician

The Lincoln Group is immediately seeking a Filament Winding Technician on a Direct Hire basis for our client in the Metal Forging Fabrication Industry located in Camarillo, CA. The Filament Winding Technician will be responsible for taking inventory, making supply orders, handling disputes among team members, and regularly assessing cleaning and safety standards in all areas. They will also be responsible for correcting equipment deficiencies, making adjustments and alignments, keeping records, and being able to work to the production schedule to ensure on-time delivery to the customer. Software: Siemens SINUMERIK

Location: Camarillo, CA

Work Schedule: M-F, 3 shift options with eligibility for overtime.

Compensation: $38.46 – $43.27/hr DOE

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

·Able to provide input to Designers/Engineers with respect to changes in wind patterns.

·Resin mixing background is a plus.

·Knowledge of the Electromechanical Assembly process

·Knowledge in using Electromechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulic automation.

·Communicate with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production.

·Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations.

·Operating filament winding machine.

·Siemens SINUMERIK software experience

·Knowledge of using assembly tools, fixtures, and equipment

·Understanding of data acquisition and test instrumentation

·Adopt and implement the Safety Procedures, Quality Assurance Procedures-OAP, and Departmental Work Instructions

·Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.

·Supervise between two (2) to (6) employees.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

·Blueprint reading capability, general math skills, ability to use simple measuring equipment, and the ability to follow verbal and written communications.

·The candidate would ideally have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a multi-axis computer-controlled filament winding machine.

·In lieu of direct hands-on experience, a suitable candidate would have two to three years’ experience with another computer-controlled machine.

·Requires the applicant to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis.
