Quality Inspector

The Lincoln Group has partnered with a client in the metal forging fabrication industry in search of a Quality Inspector to join their team on a direct-hire basis! The Quality Inspector will manage the day-to-day operations of the Production Control function and develop the processes, procedures, and staffing necessary to support the manufacturing requirements. The ideal candidate will have the ability to organize and manage a high number of priorities and institute process and procedural improvements in a job shop environment. Type of Hire: Direct Hire

Location: Oxnard, CA

Work Schedule: Choice of 3 shifts, with potential for overtime

Compensation: $25 – $30 per hour DOE

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

·Must be able to use Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, Portable CMMs (FARO), and UT Gages.

·Perform quality audits to ensure processes, procedures, and quality systems are being followed.

·Read and interpret materials, such as work orders, inspection manuals, and blueprints to determine inspection and test requirements.

·Initiate corrective action requests (CAPA).

·Inspect in-process and finished products for accuracy and to verify adherence to engineering specifications.

·Determine acceptance or rejection and record and notify manufacturing of test results and inspection data.

·Perform calibration on inspection hand tools.

·Initiate engineering change requests (ECR).

·Initiate non-conforming material reports (NCMR).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

·Familiarity with Quality System requirements i.e., ISO 9001 or AS9100

·Perform work in a timely manner, while keeping quality the highest priority.

·A minimum of 4 yrs of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.

·Able to read/interpret prints and perform basic shop math.

·Able to follow all quality procedures, work instructions, and training given by the organization.
