Payroll Clerk Oxnard CA

Lincoln Group Industrial Services has partnered with an exceptional client in the Biopharma industry that is looking for a Payroll Clerk to provide financial analysis and reporting that will enable the company and stakeholders to achieve their business objectives. The position will be located on-site in Oxnard, CA.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Compensation: $25

Contract: Temp to Perm depending on attendance and performance


  • Process bi-weekly processing of the payroll, including reviewing timecards for accuracy.
  •  Prepare and distribute payroll reports.
  • Assist with resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Confirm hours and code departments on existing staffing company invoices.
  • Verify that the temporary employee’s timecard matches with payroll system entries.
  • Calculate and issue final wages for terminated employees.
  • Process 401(k) contribution changes, ensure all 401(k) funds are submitted, and remit monies for 401(k) account on pay dates.
  • Conduct bill reconciling for company benefits.
  • Processing status changes.
  • Calculate and issue final wages for terminated employees.
  • Prepare manual paychecks as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees.
  • Manage payroll-related queries and requests from employees.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external third parties (e.g., payroll & benefit providers)
  • Assemble, audit, and maintain new hire personnel files.
  • Train employees, managers/supervisors on how to use the timekeeping system, including time off requests and approvals.
  • Prepare reports for month end.
  • Submit new hires into the payroll system.
  • Assist in maintaining employee records and adhering to all state and federal laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally at all organizational levels.
  • Proactive with excellent investigative skills in dealing with complex issues and identifying solutions.
  • Experience working with_ the Emplicity_ payroll system is desired but not required.
  • Ability to 10-key by touch.
  • Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
