Senior Electrical & Computer Engineer Boulder CO

Lincoln Group has partnered with a startup company located in Boulder, CO who is seeking an Electrical responsible Engineer to design, develop, and test the electrical aspects, both hardware and firmware, of new products that create safer environments in the workplace, on the road, and other aspects of our lives.  The Senior Electrical & Computer Engineer position will collaborate with internal team members and partners to deliver a high-quality product that matches the vision communicated by leadership by specifying and ensuring technical requirements for the product as it relates to electrical design. 


  • Work within a product development team to execute a product vision from idea to production
  • Design, edit, and optimize circuitry (component selection, simulation, board layout, schematic capture)
  • Prototype aspects and entire systems to fail fast and rapidly iterate towards a robust solution
  • Work with partners to track, assess and assist EE development progression
  • Design and develop real-time, multi-tasking embedded firmware and connect it with user facing software (apps or online portals) in Python, C, C#, Java or similar packages
  • Develop and execute quality check procedures for component acceptance, individual and entire system functionality


  • Planning procurement of EE prototype materials for both board level and system level designs
  • Integrating standard DFM practices into designs
  • Use of bench tools such as oscilloscope, signal generator, multi-meters, and other bench supplies
  • Soldering, rework, and SMT soldering techniques
  • Custom wiring harness design and cable designs and drawings
  • Create system level and project level block diagrams
  • Fluent in a number of languages and data programming schemas. Specifically, Python, C, C#, C++ and Arduino.

Compensation Range:  $84,000 – $120,000


  • BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 5-7+ years of EE working experience


  • Designing electronic circuits and firmware for new product development
  • Designing embedded systems
  • Digital systems, communication protocols like SPI, I2C, RS232, RS485, USB , Bluetooth
  • Different power supply topologies, LDOs, switching converters
  • Various sensors, sensor systems, system calibration, relays, and actuation devices
  • Using Altium Designer (and/or other PCB design software), Schematic Board Layout, and Library Creation
  • Testing, debugging, and troubleshooting prototype design level problems
  • IOT experience and product design
