Senior Inventory Analyst Englewood CO

The Lincoln Group has partnered with a fast-growing, private equity-owned, automotive organization in search of a Senior Inventory Analyst, on a contract basis, to join their exceptional team. In this role, you will analyze inventory items and identify discrepancies between the point-of-sale system and the accounting software. The Senior Inventory Accountant will report to the Assistant Controller.

Compensation: $32-$35 per hour

Schedule: Remote 8-10 weeks, then Hybrid schedule

Responsibilities:

Performing extensive research on a wide range of inventory-related reports
Drafting inventory reports that document inventory counts, received inventory, comparison reports, and other statistical data
Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine the root cause, and consider corrective actions
Coordinating with others to resolve discrepancies between inventory, revenue, and accounts payable
Reporting inventory statistics and price discrepancies to management
Responsible for assisting with close for inventory to ensure a timely close including preparation of journal entries
Perform ad hoc duties and analysis as needed to support corporate functions and retail operations
Ability to comprehend complex accounting topics and determine the appropriate treatment ad required under US GAAP
Other duties assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, supply chain management, business administration, inventory management, or related field
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in relation to Inventory
Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
